“ATTEMPT GREAT THINGS”
A Twenty-One Day Devotional
“Attempt something so great that it is doomed to failure unless God be in it.”
These words spur us on to tasks, challenges and ministries that we would otherwise think are impossible. The Apostle Paul was very clear in what believers should expect from the Father when we step out in faith, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)
At those times when we may be led to believe, through worldly wisdom of the unbelieving world, that what we are called to do for the Kingdom and for the cause of Christ is beyond what humans can do – that is when the Lord demonstrates His strength in the midst of our weakness.
For the next 21 days you are invited to look into the Word of God and examine the “greater” things He calls us to do. During this time I pray that you will not just read the devotional provided for you each day, but will meditate on the passage and ask the Lord to open your eyes and heart to the “greater” things He has for you to do. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly, and let the Spirit lead you to “Attempt Great Things.”
