Stewardship Campaign Banner

GREAT IS OUR LORD AND MIGHTY IN POWER;
HE COUNTS THE NUMBER OF THE STARS; HE CALLS THEM ALL BY NAME.
PSALM 147:5,4

Overview

Because Central has seen healthy growth over the past few years we have been pushing the limits of our existing facilities.  The current fellowship hall has presented many health and safety issues and
      can no longer be ignored.  The next challenge is to expand the physical accomodations and thereby the
      ministries of Central to its Congregation and the community.

The stewardship gifts raised will renovate the Cooper House and build a connected 8026 square foot addition while staying sensitive to the surrounding downtown historical district.

...HE HAS BLESSED  YOUR CHILDREN WITHIN YOU.
HE SENDS OUT HIS WORD AND MELTS THEM;
HE CAUSES HIS WIND TO BLOW AND THE WATERS FLOW.
PSALM 147:13,18

Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry will have access to the spacious multipurpose room and the new meeting spaces.  These facilities will be a contemporary, safe, and delightful gathering place for youth of all ages.

The Children's and Preschool ministries will utilize the large multi purpose room for indoor play during inclement weather.  Adaptable upstairs space can be used for Sunday school classrooms and a Kid's
      Church space.  Snacks and special meals can be prepared and served in the state of the art kitchen.

Minimal but tasteful landscaping will greet the youngsters as they enter the property on Randolph Avenue.  This complex and its environs will stand the test of time and be a legacy for all generations to
      come.

HE HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED AND BINDS UP THEIR WOUNDS.
THE LORD LIFTS UP THE HUMBLE.

Young Adult Ministry

Young adults (20-35 years of age) represent a largely underserved church demographic population.  It is Central's plan to reach out in tangible ways to this community.  The Cooper House project would be an
      independent church plant and would truly be a "church within a church."

Energy efficient appliances, double paned windows, and modern kitchen appointments will provide a comfortable, home like and contemporary setting.  The 3360 square foot multi purpose room will
      be wired for sound and lighting for musical and drama productions and serve all age groups.

The new facilities will be in continuous use providing community outreach to a variety of worthwhile organizations.  Your gift will contribute to a new and exciting ministry at Central.

THE LORD TAKES PLEASURE
IN THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, IN THOSE WHO HOPE IN HIS MERCY.
PSALM 147:11

Senior Adult Ministry

The Senior Adult Ministry will enjoy the use of the safe, inviting and ground level accessible building for meetings, social events and classroom gatherings.  In keeping with historical preservation, the gracious
      wide front porch provides a welcoming entrance for our older adults.

A large palladium window, French doors and architectural details will enhance the brick addition and complement the Cooper House's Italianate character.  Walls, ceilings and floors will be refinished or
      replaced.  In addition, the exterior wood siding will be repainted.

Durable, warm materials will be used throughout the construction and renovation.  Of course, seniors can expect all bathrooms to be handicap accessible for their convenience.  High ceilings, naturally lit
      rooms, and covered entrances will greet each and every guest.
